I First WK Batsman to Score Triple Century in Ranji Trophy
In the last group match of the Ranji Trophy 2014-15 at Ongole, Andhra’s wicketkeeper and opening batsman Srikar Bharat scored a remarkable 308 runs off 311 balls that included 38 fours and six sixes.
II The WK in red hot form
65 First Class matches, 3798 runs with eight centuries, 20 fifties and 223 catches and 27 stumping and thus has made a strong claim for a Test squad spot.
He has scored three centuries against Australia-A , England Lions and Sri Lanka-A and these good numbers cannot be ignored.
The selection committee is known to reward current form with selections such as Hanuma Vihari and Mayank Agarwal and hence will definitely look Bharat’s way.
III Bharat has donned IPL colours
He has featured in DD in 2015 after his heroics in the domestic circuit. Having been picked at his base price he was unlucky not to get a game. He has shared the dressing room with many experienced campaigners in the Delhi setup.
